Traveling to Disney is already a lot of work: all the packing and coordinating the airfare and hotel reservations. But don’t forget about how you’ll get around when you get there.
Even if your small kiddos are walking, using a stroller at Disney is a must. These parks are huge and little feet get tired very easily. You’ll avoid cranky meltdowns by either bringing a stroller with you or renting one when you get there.
Keep Strollers Compact
Whether you’re flying or road tripping from Canada, it’s best to use strollers that are compact and easy to fold. Smaller strollers are easier fly with and take up less space in your trunk.
How do you fly with a stroller? You can take it with you up to the gate. Then, the agents will check it at the gate, putting it under the plane and giving it to you right after you land.
Look For Compartments
Look for strollers with good compartments. In other words, you want something that has pockets and storage under the seat. You’ll end up using every inch of the stroller as you walk around Disney.
We use the UPPABaby MINU and it has been with us through the US all the way to Europe. We’re already using it with our youngest and it’s still just as sturdy!
Use Stroller Tags
Remember, Disney is really busy and there are going to be tons of strollers parked at every ride you visit. So, use a stroller tag to help identify your stroller quickly at designated stroller parkings within Disney parks.

And bonus! I have one that is my best-seller. It’s cute and easy to customize. Grab it on Etsy!
Know The Disney Stroller Rules
Be sure to look over specific Disney stroller rules at Disney by visiting their website: https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/faq/parks/strollers/

Most importantly, stroller wagons are no longer accepted in the parks, so don’t waste your time trying to bring one.
It’s better to read the rules before you get there so you don’t have to make last-minute changes.
Prepare For Messes
If you’re a mom, then this tip is probably telling you something you already know. But I wanted to share it anyway. Pack wet wipes because strollers attract messes.
All those Disney snacks (like Dole Whip) will become a sticky problem in the stroller. Durable wipes will keep your stroller nice and clean.
Keep Your Valuables Safe
Even if you get a stroller with lots of pockets, don’t leave your phone or wallet in them. Be careful with what you leave in your stroller when you park it.

Although Disney goers have a great honour system (we never had any issues with anything missing in our strollers), we still don’t leave valuable items unattended (phones, wallets, etc.). Better to be safe!
Keep Your Cool
It doesn’t matter what time of year you go to Disney, it’s gonna be hot. Bring a stroller fan. If you’re going to visit the Animal Kingdom, bring a portable fan for the entire family – this park is known to get hot the most.
There you have it! If you’re planning a Disney vacation for your family, then bring a stroller or rent one when you get there. It will make all the difference, I promise.
