Welcome back, Disney-loving besties! My name is Lisa, and I am your go-to Disney-loving Canadian bestie! That’s right: I absolutely adore inspiring fellow Canadians to take their next magical adventure. Today, let’s talk dining!

If you’ve ever dreamed of dining in space without leaving Earth, Space 220 is the Disney restaurant for you. This fully immersive dining adventure is tucked inside EPCOT, right next to the Mission: SPACE attraction: and it’s unlike any other restaurant you’ve experienced.

Hallway at Space 220

I have to say: Space 22o wasn’t always on my radar, because truly: I didn’t know much about it. However, one trip to EPCOT with one of my friends, we managed to score Space 220 reservations, and she said, “We have to go! You have no idea!”

You know what, Disney-loving bestie? I am SO incredibly happy I listened to her.

What to Expect at Space 220: Our Honest Space 220 Restaurant Review

Blast Off: The Departure Lounge

The Space 220 experience begins the moment you check in. Guests board what Disney calls the Stellarvator: an elevator simulation that makes it seem as though you’re traveling 220 miles above Earth to dine among the stars.

You watch as EPCOT disappears beneath you while space comes into view. Honestly, the elevator ride alone is worth talking about: it sets the stage for everything that comes next.

Dining Among the Stars

Once you “arrive” at the Centauri Space Station, you’re seated in a sleek dining room with large windows looking out at the galaxy.

These windows are actually screens, showing astronauts floating by, satellites gliding past, and even the occasional space vehicle.

There’s always something new to spot, which makes it just as entertaining for adults as it is for kids.

This is why Space 220 isn’t just a meal: it’s an attraction in itself. I absolutely love how fully immersive it is!

Reservations: What You Need to Know

Space 220 reservations are notoriously difficult to snag. If you’re staying at a Disney Resort hotel, be sure to take advantage of Early Dining Reservations, which let you book 60 days out (plus the length of your stay, for up to 10 days).

One important detail: there are two different experiences to choose from: the Space 220 Dining Room and the Space 220 Lounge.

  • Dining Room (Prix Fixe Menu): At lunch, you’ll enjoy an appetizer and entrée, while dinner also includes dessert.
  • Lounge (À La Carte Menu): Features smaller bites and lounge-exclusive dishes that you won’t find on the dining room menu. The bar itself faces away from the windows, but if you’re seated in the lounge area you can still enjoy the space views.

Either way, you’re in for something special: but make sure you know which one you’re reserving before you go!

The Food: Out of This World

Our reservations were for dinner at the restaurant (ie.: Prix Fixe Dinner, meaning that it’s one flat rate for the appetizer, main and dessert), and it was a fantastic experience.

  • Appetizer: I started with the Blue Moon Cauliflower: tempura fried cauliflower that was light, crispy, and bursting with flavor. Truly “out of this world!”
  • Main Course: For my entrée, I chose the Orbit Filet Mignon. As someone who orders filet often, I can be picky, but this one impressed me. Cooked perfectly to medium rare, tender, and well-seasoned. For those who want to go all out, you can even add extras like jumbo shrimp or half a lobster.
  • Dessert: I ended my meal with the Lunar Carrot Cake: moist, flavorful, and a perfect sweet ending to my space journey.

I loved that all the dishes had space-themed names. It added to the fun and made the whole menu feel playful without sacrificing quality.

Theme Park Admission

Don’t forget: dining reservations within any of the parks requires theme park admission. So be sure you have a valid EPCOT admission!

Space 220 isn’t just dinner: it’s an experience. Between the breathtaking views of Earth from 220 miles up, the stellar theming, and the delicious food, it’s something you’ll remember long after your Disney trip is over.
