Anyone who knows me knows that I love finding ways to bring a little Disney magic into everyday life, and my nails are one of my favorite ways to do it.
After my Moana-inspired manicure, I knew I wanted to do something fun for spooky season: and what better inspiration than Hocus Pocus?
Between the nostalgia, the cozy fall vibes, and my recent trip to Salem (where Hocus Pocus was filmed, which I wrote all about here), it felt like the perfect time to channel my inner Sanderson Sister.
The Inspiration
When I think of Hocus Pocus, I think of moody autumn nights, a little magic in the air, and that iconic black flame candle that started it all.
For this manicure, I wanted something that nodded to the movie without feeling too costume-y: a design that Disney adults could wear year-round but still felt festive for spooky season.

This is what I asked for when requesting my Hocus Pocus inspired nails:
I requested for a neutral base to keep things soft and sophisticated, then added a black candle design as a subtle ode to the candle that Max lights to bring the Sanderson Sisters back to life.
To tie it all together, I asked my nail tech to add tiny gold and black stars on my ring fingers: a little sparkle, a little witchy charm, and just enough detail to make it feel special.
The result? A chic, minimalist manicure that whispers Hocus Pocus without screaming Halloween.
